By David MacDonald
Chair
Enterprise Wireless Alliance
Welcome to the Web site of the Enterprise Wireless Alliance -- the preeminent association in the
enterprise wireless industry.
Wireless technologies and applications are transforming the way enterprises conduct business to enhance productivity and to maximize competitiveness through workforce automation,
remote monitoring and control, automatic vehicle location, computer-aided dispatch, customer relationship management and inventory/asset management. Emerging technologies are being introduced to the marketplace at a more and more rapid clip, such as software defined/cognitive radios and integrated networks (public/private/unlicensed).
There is a need for an objective third-party resource to provide technical, regulatory and
equipment deployment strategies and EWA will provide just
that. The focus of EWA will assist users in the deployment of
the diverse communication solutions available that promote corporate productivity
and safety in our enterprises.
We will provide a conduit through which wireless business enterprise users, service providers, radio dealers and technology manufacturers will share and distribute information concerning wireless communications solutions and business, technical and regulatory
developments.
EWA will continue to provide supply licensees and applicants with
full service frequency coordination, interference analysis,
coverage calculations, and RF engineering services.
The Alliance will maintain its leadership in advocacy for its membership concerning regulatory matters before the
FCC and other governmental agencies.
I am excited about the prospects for an invigorated regulatory affairs forum where significant consensus building can take place, and all enterprise users will benefit, I
look forward to joining in the continuing dialogue.
