Hissy Fit

Geez!!!  NCTA – The Internet and Television Association has thrown a hissy fit in response to First Energy and other 6 GHz incumbent advocacy efforts to ensure that there are realistic protocols to protect incumbent operations from interference when the predicted hundreds of thousands of unlicensed devices penetrate the band and mingle with thousands of microwave systems. In a filing earlier this week, NCTA’s hyperbole reached a new level when they stated: “In a series of untimely attempts to convince the Commission to reverse key aspects of the landmark 6 GHz Order, the ‘Utilities Incumbents’ nonetheless persist in testing access points in unrealistic scenarios engineered to yield harmful interference results. In doing so, the ‘Utilities Incumbents’ contend that the forced results of their contrived, worst-case-scenario testing – precisely the analytical approach the Commission objected in the 6 GHz Order – somehow reflect ‘real world’ risk.”

Hey, NCTA … take a breath for Pete’s Sake!
