On April 1, 2019, the Enterprise Wireless Alliance filed comments in response to a Notice of Inquiry (NOI) issued by the Farm Service Agency of the United States Department of Agriculture. The NOI seeks input on current and anticipated non-Federal spectrum needs of entities engaged in agriculture, forestry, mining, and rural manufacturing. More specifically, it requested comment about the advanced technologies and applications that will enable farmers, ranchers, foresters, and others to operate with increased efficiency and thereby produce agricultural products to meet growing worldwide demand. EWA has a track record of proposing and actively supporting initiatives that have the potential to create secure, reliable broadband opportunities for private enterprise users, including those in the agriculture, energy and communications sectors.
