EWA Files Ex Parte in Response to M2M and WIA Filing

On April 25, 2017, the Enterprise Wireless Alliance filed a letter in response to comments filed by M2M Spectrum Networks LLC and the Wireless Infrastructure Association after a meeting with the Federal Communications Commission's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. In this letter, EWA questioned whether the Internet of Things services that M2M offers are appropriate for Part 90 land mobile spectrum and went on to ask the FCC to confirm whether M2M's strategy for evading channel limits is permissable. EWA asserts that through a leasing scheme, M2M and its affiliates circumnavigate the channel limits imposed to ensure that spectrum is available on a fair basis.
