EWA Files Request for Clarification

The Enterprise Wireless Alliance filed a Request for Clarification with the Federal Communications Commission one aspect of the Report and Order on license renewals, discontinuance of operation, and partitioning/disaggregation. Consistent with the filings submitted by the Alliance and the Land Mobile Communications Council (LMCC) in response to the original Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in this proceeding, EWA disagrees with the FCC’s decision to exempt public safety licensees from the revised renewal procedures as doing so makes unclear exactly what a public safety licensee is representing to the FCC when filing a renewal application.
