EWA Files Ex Parte on School Bus Wi-Fi Funding | Enterprise Wireless Alliance

EWA has filed an ex parte letter urging the FCC to allow the use of Federal funding for Wi-Fi on school buses through the E-Rate Program. EWA noted that its membership is comprised of many wireless sales and service providers that provide equipment and services to schools and school buses and are “eager to add this much-needed capability to the buses” to assist them with addressing the Homework Gap. Chairwoman Rosenworcel announced in a May press release that she circulated a declaratory ruling with this proposal, and given that nothing further has been released, we urged the FCC act as promptly as possible.
