Cevo Go! Delivering Certified Frequencies in Minutes!

November 7, 2017
Today, the Enterprise Wireless Alliance (EWA) is pleased to formally introduce Cevo Go®, a mobile app that empowers wireless system suppliers and licensees alike to secure certified frequencies from EWA in hours or minutes, directly from a smartphone or tablet.

EWA created Cevo Go to change the private land mobile industry’s culture surrounding the identification and recognition of certified frequencies.  The process need not be as complex and as arduous as many have grown to accept as the norm. The sooner certified frequencies can be put into play, the sooner spectrum monitoring may commence, and the sooner system design, equipment procurements, system installation and implementation may be finalized.

“The ability to secure certified frequencies in a fraction of the time it takes others is a real game changer for Day Wireless,” said Mr. Dean Ballew, Director of Tower Sites & Systems at Day Wireless. “With Cevo Go, we’re delivering results to customers faster than was ever possible before, with the same accuracy that EWA is known for in the industry.”

As a first-of-its-kind frequency coordination innovation, Cevo Go will be used by system suppliers, vendors, current licensees and new applicants to almost immediately secure certified frequencies for use within new and expanding wireless systems in the VHF and UHF bands for Business/Industrial Land Transportation applicants. Cevo Go app users need only respond to eight simple prompts that will trigger EWA’s proprietary spectrum analysis software to present certified frequencies in accordance with the app user’s requirements.

Users continue the process by accepting the certified channels presented and instructing EWA, again through the app, to secure final FCC approval. When the results are accepted, an all-inclusive single fee is presented. Cevo Go users may select all or a portion of the presented frequencies, they may defer confirmation of their frequency order for a limited duration, or they may discard the results altogether for which no EWA fees are incurred.

“We asked ourselves, ‘why does the process of securing certified frequencies have to take so long and proceed through so many information gathering and fulfillment gates?’ For ninety percent of the licensing requirements today, it doesn’t have to, nor should it have to. It’s very simple. One can accomplish so much through their smartphones today, why not certified frequencies?” said EWA President Mark Crosby. “EWA continually seeks innovative ways to deliver new and higher levels of service to its members and clients. We will continue to do so, and Cevo Go is an example of EWA’s innovative spirit.”

The Cevo Go mobile app connects with EWA’s Cevo frequency coordination portal, allowing users to track the status of pending FCC license grants from their desktop.  To learn more about Cevo Go, watch a video overview, and learn how to download the app, visit www.cevogo.org

  • Using Spectrum Intel has been a game-changer for us. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, and the Market Area Reports have automated many tasks that we previously had to do manually, reducing delays of getting time sensitive data out to our sales team. The search functionality is impressively fast, and it’s clear that EWA is committed to continuous improvement, making the tool even more useful and intuitive. Highly recommend!

  • It’s remarkable what we’ve been able to do with EWA’s support. It’s a collaborative effort that has allowed Midland to deliver unparalleled support to our customers. No one else has the depth of understanding of FCC rules, which has resulted in more application grants. Midland Communications has a profound appreciation for EWA’s advocacy efforts. It has allowed us to have a voice before the FCC.
